How to revive your Self Care this Spring

Spring has arrived, making it the ideal season to enjoy the outdoors. Over the past two months, I've been sharing beneficial self-care advice from my latest e-book, and our emphasis for March is immersing yourself in nature and how the outdoors can greatly impact your health.


Spending time outdoors in nature helps your body and mind relax.

Just ten minutes in nature can lift your mood and reduce your stress level. Being outside in nature can also have a positive impact on your mental and physical health. It’s a simple yet effective way to reduce stress and improve your overall quality of life. Spending time in nature also offers various therapeutic benefits such as reducing stress and anxiety. Time in nature also improves your mood and sleep.


Engaging with nature can provide a much needed break from the busy routines of life and offer a chance to refuel yourself. Whether you take a walk at the park, hike on a trail, or just sit under a tree, the rejuvenating influence of nature is undeniable and effective.


The sights, sounds, and scents of the great outdoors can have a remarkable effect on your overall well-being. Whether it's the birds singing or the leaves rustling in the breeze, every experience in nature is a chance to refresh your mind, body, and spirit.

As we embrace the beauty of spring and all it has to offer, remember to take time to enjoy the outdoors. Prioritizing self-care and strengthening your bond with nature will will revive your well-being.

Here are some ways I've incorporated spending time outdoors and ways you can make it practical:

  • Enjoy relaxing on your patio or porch with a book or journal while your kids play.

  • On sunny days, consider sitting in the sun. Taking off your shoes in a safe outdoor space can be a great stress reliever, known as grounding.

  • Take a trip to your nearby park or playground while your children have fun.

  • Take a walk along a trail, walking track, or if you're close to the ocean, stroll along the beach.
